In celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride Month, June’s Reason & Respect will cast a queered lens on hidden narratives concerning LGBTQ+ justice-involved folx. <br><br>Join Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice and Queer Criminologist Brian J. Frederick, Ph.D. and Archivist, Artist, Filmmaker, and Arts Educator Katherine A. Cheairs, MFA, for a Reason & Respect event, where they will discuss their work on the emerging subdiscipline of criminology known as “queer criminology” and recently curated an exhibit at the NYC LGBTQ+ Center titled, “Inside/Out: HIV/AIDS Prison Activism and Peer Organizing,” respectively. Health and Wellness Coordinator Josh Boardman will moderate the session.
