Join us as we celebrate Juneteenth 2022 with a conversation on Jazz in America, by Professor Emeritus Joe Washington. The talk will be followed by the Antoinette Montague Experience, with international jazz artists – Antoinette Montague, Danny Mixon, Benny “Saxable” Rubin Jr., Melissa Slocum, Bobby Sanabria, and AC Lincoln.<br><br>The event will be held at SUNY Empire’s Manhattan location. The college is located at 4 Park Ave., near the corner of 33rd and 34th streets. The event is free and sponsored by the Black Male Initiative. <br> <br> <br>Doors open at noon. A light lunch featuring southern cuisine will be served. <br> <br>Juneteenth, which is celebrated on June 19, commemorates the emancipation of all African-American slaves.
