The Center for Mentoring, Learning and Academic Innovation (CMLAI) announces "Open Mic on Mentoring Practices," an opportunity for all mentors and professionals who work with students to ask questions, share ideas and get feedback in a nonjudgmental, open forum. These sessions are typically held on three Thursdays per month.

Each session will be offered in MS Teams and hosted by CMLAI Director Shantih Clemans and College Professor of Adult Learning and Mentoring Alan Mandell.

Colleagues are invited to participate in any and all of these discussions on mentoring practices and to bring questions, situations/cases, strategies, dilemmas, or to just listen. We welcome new participants, new voices, and new experiences. Join us! And bring a friend!

Topics might include, for example:

Navigating the complicated role of "mentor."
Talking about a challenging student situation.
Thinking through ways to engage students in their studies.
Wondering about a decision you've made.
Something else?
Everyone is welcome to join these informal, supportive conversations. Come to share, come to listen, or come to learn together. No prior registration is necessary.

This is an internal event.
