In honor of Earth Month, the next Reason &amp; Respect will be: “Open Collaboration for a Sustainable World.” The event will be held on Monday, April 29, from 1 to 2 p.m.<br> <br>The talk will be presented by Joe Torreggiani, a technologist, educator, advocate, and co-founder of the Sustainable Progress and Equality Collective (SPEC). The presentation will explore how open, collaborative approaches— where people and organizations work together freely to share knowledge and resources — are driving innovations in sustainability.<br><br>From crowdsourced mutual aid programs to 3D printing recycled plastic, these participatory models are democratizing access to sustainable technologies and helping to develop solutions for renewable energy, regenerative agriculture, and other pressing environmental issues. Attendees will come away with a deeper understanding of the transformative power of open collaboration, and ideas for applying these principles to create positive change in their own communities and organizations.
