<a class='link' href='https://teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/19%3ameeting_Mzc3NzU1M2EtN2Ri…; target='_blank'>Join us</a> on Thursday, February 29, for our next Reason & Respect: “Recognizing Rare Disease Day.” The online panel discussion will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. The panelists will discuss the challenges of having a rare disease, the often-difficult diagnosis process, and the importance of raising awareness. <br> <br>The speakers are:<br>• Shannon Mulstay ’22, who has PNES, psychogenic non-epileptic seizures<br>• Nicole Boylan, a student who has scleroderma<br>• Matthew Berge ’21, ’23, who has stiff person syndrome <br> <br>The panel will be moderated by Melissa Zgliczynski director of accessibility services and resources at Empire State University. The event will also include a brief description of the Orphan Drug Act and the National Organization for Rare Diseases.
