In honor of Veterans Day, Empire State University will offer a free virtual guided tour of the USS Slater, the last of the World War II Cannon-class destroyer escort ships still afloat and preserved in its original configuration. <br><br>The tour will be given on Wednesday, November 8 at noon. Alumni and students will have the opportunity to see the various components of the ship. Participants will be able to ask questions during and after the tour. <br><br>The USS Slater is a National Historic Landmark docked in Albany, NY, in the Hudson River, where it operates as a floating museum. <br><br>Interested participants must register to receive a link to join the tour.
